The Horse Won't Get Back Out of the Trailer
Do not get in the trailer. If the horse decides to throw a fit, you're pretty much locked in the maelstrom – like Mad Max in the Thunderdome. And, while you may be tempted to open the back of the rig and walk away, an alternative is this: Stand outside the trailer and apply pressure to the lead, asking the horse to tuck his head a bit toward his chest. (Just "apply pressure," don't "crank" his neck.) Hold your pressure steady until the horse is forced to shuffle some part of his body backwards in order to rest his neck. Repeat until he's backed out of the trailer. (rpt)
